In some families there's a real fight about who gets better (more expensive) gifts. Not in ours. We're really grown up about this. The dinner on Christmas Eve and the lunch on Christmas Day, where we eat a lot of really tasty and calorie-rich food and have a glass more that is needed to slake the thirst, that's the gift we like really v. much. 

My mom gives the best gift hand down. A vignette for our high ways, every year for the past, let's say, 7 years. It's something we all need and as it's not on the cheap side, this gift is both useful and makes us smile. Yup - wouldn't want to exchange that gift for any other.

This year however I got many really cool gifts. My BF and his family know me just too well. They know I'm a bookworm and that I like to cook (and eat) so naturally I got cookbooks. I'm especially happy about the Samo recepti iz knjige Ljubezen skozi želodec 1, that I've wanted for a while now. Sadly I didn't want it soon enough as the original book is sold out. Does anyone have it? Is anyone willing to sell it to me?

I also got the Moja knjiga receptov which is a cool book that has blank pages for the owner to write is favourite Rp. in it. Looking forward to write something in it.

My BF's little brother gave us (it was a gift for the two of us) a really nice cookbook in Swedish. I'll be the cook, my BF will be the translator. Let's see how this will turn out.

As for you, my dear reader, expect to read about the recipes from all of the books above and my take on the classic dishes written in them.

V nekaterih družinah tekmujejo med sabo kdo dobi boljša (beri: dražja) darila. V naši ne! Pri tej zadevi smo res kul. Večerja štiriindvajsetega in kosilo na božič, ko jemo res dobro hrano, polno kalorij in spijemo kakšen kozarec preko žeje - to je darilo, ki ga imamo zelo radi. 

Moja mama nas vedno najboljše obdaruje. Vinjeta za slovenske AC, vsako leto, že približno 7 let. Vsi jo rabimo in ker ni med najbolj poceni stvarmi, je to darilo uporabno in nariše nasmešek na naša usta. Ja - definitivno ga ne bi zamenjala.

To leto pa sem dobila mnogo res kul daril. Fantič in njegova familija me poznajo čist predobro. Vedo, da sem taki knjižni molj in res rada kuham (in jem), tako da sem dobila kuharske knjige. Najbolj sem vesela Samo recepti iz knjige LJubezen skozi želodec 1, ki sem si jo želela že nekaj časa. Žal je original razprodan. Ga kdo ima? Ga kdo proda?

Dobila sem tudi Moja knjiga receptov, ki ima prazne strani, da lahko dopišeš svoje naj Rp. Se že veselim mojih čičkčačk noter.

Bratec of mojega fantiča pa nama (darilo je za oba) je poklonil kuharsko knjigo v švedščini. Jaz bom kuhala, Lubi bo prevajal. Bomo vidli, kako se bo to izšlo.
